Awareness-raising Campaigns Activities on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Fire Relief

   In December 2022, COERR Mae Hong Son and Kanchanaburi organized awareness-raising campaign activities on disaster risk reduction, by youth and Emergency Response Team. The duration of each training was 2-3 consecutive days. The youth also placed posters in public areas and distributed to the villagers leaflets about several hazards that might happen in the community.

   COERR Mae Hong Son organized awareness-raising and campaign activities on DRR in Ban Mae Surin Temporary Shelter, Khun Yuam District, on November 22, 2022 in which 288 youths of 171 females and 117 males participated, and on December 2, 2022, in which 56 youth of 32 females and 24 males participated; in Ban Mai Nai Soi Temporary Shelter, Mueang Mae Hong Son District, the activities were launched on December 5, 2022 in which 1,000 people of 600 females and 400 males participated.

   COERR Kanchanaburi organized the campaign activities in Ban Don Yang Temporary Shelter, Kanchanaburi Province, on 14 December 2022. There were 302 participants of 187 females and 115 males. In Ban Tham Hin Temporary Shelter, Ratchaburi Province, the activities were organized on December 20, 2022 in which 316 youth of 169 females and 147 males participated.

   On December 25, 2022, a fire broke out in Ban Don Yang Temporary Shelter, of which 21 houses were burnt down and 10 houses partly damaged. There were no injuries. COERR Kanchanaburi distributed male and female clothes including towels as emergency relief to the fire victims and families.
